Since 2003, two strays rescue centers were built from ground and administrated; one was evaluated in 2004/re-evaluated in 2010 among others and chosen the best shelter from Eastern Europe; since than – we continuously gain experience to improve dogs sheltering conditions.

The second rescue center accommodates 600 homeless dogs ,collected from Mittal steel plant.

In 2008/2009, ROLDA sterilized and returned 2,000 street dogs from steel plant premises, preventing in this way the born of hundred of thousands unwanted animals and assuring a healthier and secure environment for Mittal workers.

Between 2004 -2009, over 4,500 dogs were sterilized in collaboration with local veterinary clinics.

The education program reaches Galati community and small signs of improvements can be noticed every day.
