1 JUNE 2010 - "ME AND MY BEST FRIEND" PHOTO CONTEST

Organized by ROLDA and Cuky's in partenrship with Viata Libera Galati, the online contest started on June 1 on the newspaper website. The voting was between 7-10 June and the winners annonced in the Viata Libera publication on 12 June.

THIS IS HOW ROLDA WORKS IN GALATI TO PREVENT THE BORN OF THOUSAND OF PUPPIES

photo: Vasile (ROLDA staff) uses special gloves to handle with care a female dog. The dog had puppies and was brought to the vet clinic by her protegee in the hope that no other puppies will born to suffer on the streets.

ROLDA makes an appeal to generous corporations, foundations, and animal lovers to help us help the local community and our voiceless friends, to transform this project into a successful one, and to maintain it free of any charge for the Galati citizens in the future.

Education is the key to people understanding and tolerating animal behavior.

The ROLDA educational program, designed to address every age group, promotes:
o   respect and compassion for all living creatures;
o   the importance of sterilizing pets to prevent dog and cat overpopulation;
o   the vital need for periodic veterinary checkups, including vaccination, de-worming, and flea and tick control.
