UPDATE - ROLDA HELPING PASCANI IMPOUNDED DOGS

Our friend volunteer Claudia from Pascani have some very good news from Germany where Judith and her team will coordinate the transport of 4 puppies, one adult and possibly 4 other puppies will be adopted in Austria.

Rescued dogs from Pascani ,which are presently in ROLDA shelter are better, they recover very well except one puppy that unfortunately died few days after being brought to us, 24 h helped by the vet with IV fluids, but unfortunately too late for him!

For this newsletter we choose to advertise Balanel and Ritz :two survivors.

UPDATE- ROLDA HELPING FIDUCIA SHELTER

We just received a desperate appeal from Lidia,the owner of the Fiducia shelter. Being very stressed by local authorities pressure and extremely upset when over 70 dogs were killed few week ago, Lidia is feeling worse and worse both emotionally and physically; she is afraid that if something happens to her, the dogs from her shelter(130 adults) will be immediately brutally killed by local officials.

When the shelter was started on Lidia’s property, in order to let her take care of rescued dogs ,the authorities blackmailed her that if she doesn’t cease half of the land to them- to transform it into a pound and slaughter place, she will never have the authorization to take care of her rescued protegee. Years passing the moral pressure amplified and sometimes Lidia simply feels to be at the very end of the road.

She would like to find someone to take over the shelter administration and rest assured that her animals will be in good hands. You’ll be amazed to take a look (click here) to the photos she forward me and see how extremely well looked after these dogs are, how beautiful and sociable. Zuzu- one very lucky female was adopted instantly by a british friend ,Suzie; maybe some more dogs will have the same luck.

Dogs from Fiducia shelter received, thanks to our supporters financial contributions dog food , rice and  other ingredients for cooked food for whole December month. City Hall Reghin normally contributes with amounts 400-500 EUR/month for food but they announced that due economic crises, they cannot contribute until end of February. I am sure that if we can spare some $, the volunteers from Fiducia but especially the dogs will be VERY grateful!

BOBITZA FROM REGHIN IN DANGER:PLEASE ADOPT HIM!

Mr Rad from Fiducia just sent us the rescue story of Bobitza which I will share with you all.

Bobitza was found in February last year near Mr Rad apartment, he was a “new face”, skinny, VERY dirty, full of ticks and with a bad dermatitis due to ticks (strong and untreated)infection.

Mr Rad took Bobitza to the vet, being its treatment and took care of the fur (cutting the dirty fur and grooming/brushing it)…short way after Bobitza fur was back to normal.

Bobitza is 4-5 years old, friendly with people and other dogs he likes to play with.
He likes what every dog likes: attention, playing, good food and sleeping, when not running and playing. He is grateful to Mr Rad for being his guardian angel, and he is feeling that he still miss something. We know what Bobitza is missing: a human friend he can protect, care for unconditionately.

Bobitza has now a dog house into a highschool garden.He is always subject of discussion and lots of people have something against his presence there;even if he was NEVER aggressive.

Mr Rad is afraid that some people with bad intentions might ask dogcatchers to take him and FOR SURE Bobitza will be brutally killed,like it happened with so many other dogs in Reghin.

In the end of his touching letter,Mr Rad asked us if we can promote Bobitza for adoption abroad ,even if he will terribly miss his furry friend,at least he will be alive and safe into a loving home.

I know I already asked you too much,dear ROLDA supporters,I know that our appeals and sad stories seems never-ending;but I couldn’t refuse not promoting Bobitza because especially during the Christmas time –he might have a chance of finding a new family where he will never be abused ,where he will live securely and where he will be able to offer  his loyalty, true love and friendship.

PLEASE ADOPT BOBITZA AND SAVE HIM FROM REGHIN!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT RAA & ROLDA UK 

We just received very bad news about Veronica, our friend and ROLDA UK representative. Lionel, her son wrote us that Veronica had a terrible accident and she will need a surgery and it will be impossible for her at least in the next 3 months to continue her charitable support for ROLDA.

After a certain period of time (which we all hope to be as shortest as possible) Veronica will continue to promote ROLDA activity in every way she will possibly can considering her medical problems and family situation(Den’s health problems). Veronica is one of the best friends and trustworthy persons ROLDA ever met, but unfortunately it is time now to look for another person to replace her as a volunteer Representative of ROLDA in UK.

The new person will administrate an account for ROLDA UK, send 4 times/year a newsletter to UK supporters and collect/redirect collected items for Romanian dogs to Robert’ warehouse from where items are transported safely and free of any charge, thanks to Robert’s generosity and support!

We will provide all the new contact (and bank) details for UK supporters as soon as possible, meanwhile our friend Chrissy from RAA accepted to help in the limit of available time by collecting cheques and donations in her charity bank account:
