REX - A SYMBOL AND INSPIRATION FOR STARTING THE FIRST VET CHARITABLE CLINIC IN ROMANIA

Rex was a gorgeous German shepherd, my little Giant- rescued by ROLDA from the local pound where he was brutalized by dogcatchers ; he had epilepsy and his condition aggravates every day that passed with stress and no medical support treatment.

He died because of a heart attack, during a seizure. All his life, Rex didn’t want much: just a human friend and since first time being alone-because his old lady owner died-his life become a nightmare: he had first epilepsy stroke, the same day when neighbors being afraid of his huge size called dogcatchers, which beating him, transport him in the filthy local pound where he remained until a

ROLDA volunteer discover him by chance, after he was let free(after a long seizure, during which the other dogs sharing his kennel bite him) .Rex liked dogs, cats and people and he felt nervous only few minutes before having a seizure. He was the most friendly, forgiven giant dog I’ve met.

I had Rex at ROLDA shelter for a little over one happy year, it was one of the happiest year of my and Rex lives, and writing these words about him cannot describe what I am really feeling but gives me an opportunity to express how honored I was knowing him!

From where Rex is now, he will be happy to know that his life wasn’t in vain and thanks to you, he will be able to help his furry brothers and sisters. Thank you!
