Re-homing Program
REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL REHOMING DOGS/CATS FROM ROMANIA
Before making a final decision, please contact us or our partners for additional information, and make sure you read:
For animals going to the United Kingdom and Ireland
1. A blood test must be done by an authorized European Union laboratory. This costs about 50 euros per test. Blood sampling should be done about 30 days after vaccination. Blood test results are valid for entry for six months after the date of sampling;
2. Pet passport requirements include that vaccinations and internal de-worming must be done within 48 hours before leaving Romania;
3. There is a transport fee of £150.
If these requirements are met, there are no additional costs, and no quarantine is necessary after the animal reaches Britain.
For animals going to Norway
1. A blood test must be done by an authorized European Union laboratory. This costs about 50 euros per test. The test must be performed 120 days after the most recent antil-rabies vaccination.
2.There is a transport fee involved,depending on the transport possibility.
ROLDA and our collaborators can help everyone interested in adopting a Romanian dog or cat with all necessary documents, and can help to transport dogs and cats safely to all European destinations.

INTERNATIONAL REHOMING PROGRAM
It is not ROLDA policy to move the Romanian strays' problem abroad, but it is our duty as an animal protection charity to not refuse any chance that a dog or cat might have to enjoy a normal, secure and happy life. If one of our international supporters happens to fall in love with a ROLDA animal, we do everything we can to help that adoption succeed.
Periodically, thanks to our newsletter readers, we are lucky enough to have animals adopted abroad. Our furry friends have been adopted in Britain, the USA, Holland, Germany and since 2008, thanks to Robert S., we have partnered with two other Romanian charities which organize frequent transportation of adopted dogs to Britain.
LOCAL REHOMING PROGRAM
Adopting out homeless animals from our shelters is the second step in the ROLDA procedure, after sterilizing the animals and providing any other necessary medical treatment. Our goal is to humanely reduce the homeless animal overpopulation while encouraging the community to take responsibility for animals and become actively involved in helping them.
