REX ONLINE AUCTION FOR ROMANIAN STREET ANIMALS

ROLDA is organizing the first online auction, organized in favor of homeless animals, having as a result collecting as much as we can, close to 10,000 USD to sterilize the remaining number to reach 2,500 street female dogs sterilizations.

The total number of strays within Mittal steel garden is estimated to 5,000 souls, their number continuously multiply and only a mass-sterilization campaign will prevent thousands more animals to be born, starve, die because of disease,suffer accidents or being brutally killed.

For the coming year Mittal steel company offers a matching grant for 2,500 female dogs sterilizations.

Every ROLDA accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without our supporters and friends contribution and trust. Please help us achieve our new goal!

REX - THE NAME OF FUNDRAISING/ONLINE AUCTION 

Rex was a German shepherd, rescued from the local pound with minimal survival chances. He suffered of epilepsy and because nobody treated him, because of the massive stress from the pound, his condition depreciates every day.

 
Everyone thought I am crazy to rescue Rex because they thought he is "aggressive" and he will bite and harm me...which of course it wasn’t true. While in our shelter, Rex was like a big puppy, a delicate giant preferring to sit in the grass and in my lap looking in my eyes like he would have told me his same sad story. Only after seizures, which became in time longer, his look was dark ,his good heart weaker...until one day when he didn't weak up after the most long seizure he ever had...except for some moments when he bark continuously.

Rex is buried in the garden of the ROLDA Adoption Center to guard after life his brothers and sisters which he cannot physically "protect".

The online fundraising event I started in July it's called after his name -REX- ONLINE AUCTION in the hope that his story and his name will not be forgotten by others and he will help those who still have a chance to a better life.
The charitable veterinary clinic that will be built for the first time in Romania to help homeless animals and low-income people with animals will be named REX. This is my tribute to my beloved Rex which had almost nothing in his life than a big heart and a happy smile that conquer me instantly.
