LETTER FROM DOINA,A PERMANENT VOLUNTEER AT FIDUCIA SHELTER

My name is Doina Milutin, I am a 48 years old  ,I live in from Tg. Mures, Romania and I love very much the animals.  I had for 15.5 years a Burmese female cat who died of renal failure and now, I have a 2,5 years old new Burmese female cat, Kara.

Two years ago, I "met" a female dog; she gave birth to 4 puppies in the hospital court where I was working. I took care of she and of her puppies. This was a moment when started my friendship with dogs. After this, more homeless dogs came in the hospital court. One male dog caught his right foreleg in noose and I needed to amputate his leg. I gave food to all stray dogs, I loved them but I had not a space for them. A bitch from the hospital I took her to a shelter near Reghin, 40 km from Targu Mures where I go weekly to see her.

This is how I met Mrs. Lidia, founder of the shelter. She is a woman of 74 who loves animals very much and for whom life means these animals. Although she moves with some difficulty and gets tired very quickly, she goes daily to the shelter a few km up where she spends much of the day caring for these special animals. Dogs have multiplied, financial resources have dwindled and is now in a desperate situation that can not maintain the dogs. The winter is coming and dogs are deprived of food, unvaccinated, cages are old and falling apart.

Every dog is very friendly, do not want than to be loved and fed, their eyes, their eyes fill your soul heat, peace and love and nothing about no longer has value.
Together with friends we trying to help, but our efforts are small compared with their needs.
Unfortunately in Romania the cult love for animals of the general population is very low and offers of help are limited. I found understanding with ROLDA people,for which I have not words to thank for the enormous support that they offer.

I love of soul these pretty and devoted animals but because I can't help them to have a decent life, I trying to help them doing good by making an appeal to animal lovers who can and want to contribute to their care.
