Ways to help
IDEAS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING EVENT
At work,at home ...or even kids fundraising ideas that will help the animals in the same time,it will make you feel well and have fun....what are you waiting for?
At work
Have a 'dress down day' and charge colleagues EUR 1 to come to work in casual clothes, to wear a silly tie or an outrageous pair of earrings!
Ask your boss to donate a small prize and hold a raffle.
Start a cartridge recycling program.
Ask your staff canteen to give the menus animal names for one week. Get them to put a collecting box at the till and ask for a donation from anyone who goes for those dishes!
If you have a smoking area, charge smokers a small fee to enter all week - all proceeds to the ROLDA.

ROLDA DOGS THOUGHTS
The ROLDA shelter dogs ” heard” the bad news because of the global economic crisis ,affecting local employees and our main sponsor employees.
The ROLDA dogs did not understand most of the words, because they are after all only dogs. But they understood the anxious faces, the worried tones of voice, the shoulders already hunched against the winter cold, the growls of bellies anticipating hunger, and the taste of fear.
The ROLDA doggies want you to know that they care. No animal is more empathic or sympathetic than a dog. When people are sad, worried, cold, hungry, and frightened, a dog will always share their feelings.
NEW GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL PET TRANSPORT
UK and Ireland
1. A blood test must be done by an authorized European Union laboratory. This costs about 45EUR per test. Blood sampling should be done about 30 days after vaccination. Blood test results are valid for entry for six months after the date of sampling;
2. Pet passport requirements include that vaccinations and internal de-worming must be done within 48 hours before leaving Romania;
3. There is a transport fee of £170.
If these requirements are met, there are no additional costs, and no quarantine is necessary after the animal reaches Britain.
