Update about ROLDA projects for 2008
Dear friends and supporters,
This is the first ROLDA Newsletter in 2008, made to present briefly our projects for the new year .
We already have some great news to share with you all:
As a result of our efforts in the past years, ROLDA became a stronger organization in Galati .At the end of 2007,we received donations from the local sponsors in support of our activity , enough to cover partially the budget for this year 'projects.
Because our activity growth, our yearly budget is split in more but same important segments:
For Galati
§ building the new veterinary clinic,
§ Adoption Center (our second shelter) 'administration costs,
(Note: These two segments (basically the biggest ones) will be covered by our local sponsor companies)
§ buying the veterinary equipment,
(Note: Your generous contribution can help us purchasing the veterinary equipment for ROLDA veterinary clinic.)
§ spay/neuter and support community program,
§ education program,
§ first shelter administration costs.
(Note: We also need funds for administration of the small shelter (dog food, veterinary bills cover, salary for the caretaker), around 1,500 USD monthly.)
We are estimating that the veterinary clinic incorporated in the new shelter will be ready to function for the local community in the spring of 2008.
Thanks to the generous supporters ,responding to our repeated appeals ,we are able now to purchase partially the veterinary equipment.
In our next newsletters,we would like to focus our supporters'attention to ROLDA projects for 2008 that involves others towns of Romania.
We believe that working with locals encourage people responsibility to care better for the animals and to manage efficiently shelters created not only to bring animals comfort but also satisfaction for real animal lovers,used with daily hard work.
We also take this opportunity to encourage our newsletter' readers to donate to other registered Romanian charities,but we suggest that you do a good evaluation and if possible,checking the premises (a visit of the shelter sought to be sponsored,preferably un-announced, would be ideal).
No human is ever treated better because a dog is treated worse; but millions of humans all over the world are materially benefiting because of advances in the standards for treating animals, and millions more will benefit as we succeed in convincing everyone to donate in support of worthy animals cause.
Speaking of people donating ,we must mention same names, in sign of eternal gratitude to them for making a difference for ROLDA and the Romanian animals.
