NEGRUTA /NOW MAISA ADOPTED IN NORWAY
Negruta is a black beauty, around 2 years old found in the industrial part of Galati, near the steel plant.
She was probably abandoned just before winter started and you could easily tell that she is not used to stay in cold, all her body shaking and loosing weight made her look unhealthy and poorly! This is how ROLDA volunteers found her.

ROLDA interviews Fiducia founder,Mrs Lidia
August 2010
DC. - Tell us about the best moment since Fiducia has existed. And about the worst.
LM - I remember that after the land was purchased, we started building from the ground the shelter and this was one of the happiest moments because it was full of hope and promises. Full of trust.
The worst moments happen every time I get "reassurance" that you cannot expect too much from most people. They are limited spiritually and as human beings. Rarely people here wish to think longer than for tomorrow and more than just for themselves.
DC - A question that keeps recurring in Romania for the past 20 years: how do you think the growing homeless animal problem should be fixed?
WHY THE FREE STERILIZATION CAMPAIGN MUST CONTINUE IN ROMANIA?
Arpad rests now in the sun, his leg wound start healing. Indiana and her three kittens share a basket in Brenda’s room while Alma hardly leaves the exercises area at the ROLDA small shelter, where sometimes still barks in the night because she miss her “guardian angel” badly.
Skype is sharing a kennel with other juniors at the large ROLDA dog rescue center ….
All these dogs stories follows and have something in common ….beside being Romanian street animals!
UNPLANNED "ACCIDENTS" OR ABOUT DOGS THAT FULLFILL OUR LIFE...
writen by Gill, adoptive mom of 2 Romanian strays.
It had never been my plan to have 4 rescue dogs. In fact I wasn't even sure that I wanted one so rather than take on a young dog that I couldn't cope with, four years ago I adopted Cassie, a 10 year old dog who had ended up at the local shelter after her owner had died. She fitted in with my cats very well and I immediately got into the habit of taking her for two long walks each day, no matter what the weather.

ABUSES AGAINST ANIMALS ALL OVER ROMANIA
The following links contain hard to be described atrocities against Romanian animals (dogs, horses, wild animals,cats,...) presented recently in the national media. Some of the links are sent to our address by Mira I. and Cristina P. two passionate animal advocates who were born in Romania but now live abroad.I know that most of you will not even attempt to open a link to see the tragedy these souls live in this country, but hopefully together we hope to be a stronger voice to change these animals future.
