UNPLANNED "ACCIDENTS" OR ABOUT DOGS THAT FULLFILL OUR LIFE...
writen by Gill, adoptive mom of 2 Romanian strays.
It had never been my plan to have 4 rescue dogs. In fact I wasn't even sure that I wanted one so rather than take on a young dog that I couldn't cope with, four years ago I adopted Cassie, a 10 year old dog who had ended up at the local shelter after her owner had died. She fitted in with my cats very well and I immediately got into the habit of taking her for two long walks each day, no matter what the weather.

NICOLE ,A FORMER STRAY NOW THE PRIDE AND JOY OF MARIA'S FAMILY
Dear Chrissy and Dana,
thank you ever so much for helping us to get Nicole to Sheffield. We are having a fantastic time, she is keeping us very busy with her training, playing, walking, feeding and other routines. She is well house trained and seems to know lots of tricks, we are calling her the Circus Dog! She is an absolute joy around the house, she is still a bit nervous with other people but seems o be enjoying herself in here.
WOLFIE'S (ALIAS BIG WHITE) HAPPY ENDING
Special thanks goes to RAA, Chrissy, IRR,Jackie and of course the adoptive family:Susie,Steve and Alexander! The following letter is writen by Susie after adopting Big White in her family home:
Just a quick email to let you know how Wolfie is getting on...
Wolfie was very good in the car getting to us, and very seemed very accepting of going somewhere new - seeing what he has been through. He spent some time pacing about the ground floor of the house and garden when he first arrived - the cat was very obliging and slept most of the day upstairs! - but he settled down fairly quickly. He was quite active his first day, following us around the house, and I took this to mean that he was a bit anxious, which is hardly surprising. But he has settled in now so well, I can hardly believe it.
SUZI'S HAPPY ENDING STORY
Update July month
Just thought you might like to know that our lovely Freya has already won another first prize at a local charity dog event. One of the judges was famous and he had been to Romania doing a TV show and seen the dogs out there. He gave a short speech on the plight of the poor Romanian strays and we got asked so many questions by lots of the people there - and there were a lot !
